Captured by Christ
Philippians 3:12-21
December 15, 2024
Dr. Kelly B. Burton
Our studies together in Philippians have taken us now to chapter 3. In this chapter, Paul encourages the church not to get tripped up by the enemies of the cross. Rather imitate those in the church who are mature and eager to finish strong. To emphasize his point Paul uses the imagery of an athlete who is focused on winning the prize. Since Jesus has captured you, don’t get sluggish, keep straining forward to your prize.
Sermon in a Sentence: Since Jesus has captured you, don’t get sluggish. Keep straining forward to your prize.
