Doubts and Disbeliefs
Luke 24:36-49
Sunday, September 18, 2022
Dr. Kelly B. Burton
By all appearances the disciples were not expecting Jesus to rise from the dead. Doubt and disbelief blinded their faith. The angel has to remind the women who came to prepare His body with spices and ointments that Jesus told them this would happen. When the women reported the empty tomb to the disciples, their words seemed to them as “an idle tale and they did not believe them.” God dispels our doubts and disbeliefs when we trust Him at His Word.
Sermon in a Sentence: In His resurrection, Jesus earned for us perfect resurrection bodies like His. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
