How Can I Serve?
1 Corinthians 12:1-11
Sunday, August 18, 2024
Dr. Kelly B. Burton
The Corinthians just could not pull themselves away from their past. This is one implication of spiritual immaturity. What about you? Have you made a clean break from the things in your past that are harmful to your walk with Christ in the present? Every member of the Corinthian church wanted to show off their spiritual gift. It was chaotic on any given Sunday. Their disorder proves that they were out of touch with the Holy Spirit. This chapter explains spiritual gifts and why God gives them to us.
Sermon in a Sentence: All true believers have been given a gift from Jesus to serve his/her local church. Don’t just sit there, look for opportunities to serve.
