The Soundtrack of Surrender
Psalm 32
October 6, 2024
Dr. Kelly B. Burton
For the early Christians the Psalms proved to be a go to resource for worship songs. They provided strength and encouragement to the brave souls of the first and second centuries. In the Hebrew Bible, the Psalms are titled The Book of Praises. The entire book of Psalms is neatly divided into five books. I have chosen four Psalms from Book I to give you a taste of the Psalter. Book I is primarily authored by David. Inside Book I we find lofty theology, practical prayers, and reminders of our responsibility to the LORD to live in harmony with Him. Psalm 32 is first today. Obvious from the first two verses, this Psalm is instructional for everyone who needs forgiveness.
