Sacrificial Service – Serving like Jesus
Mark 10:32-45
November 24, 2024
Brennan Margos
In Mark 10 we see Jesus traveling and teaching the crowds. He has an encounter with the rich young ruler, the disciples request to sit with Him in glory, He heals a blind man. Jesus is teaching and performing miracles. There is little doubt he is the Christ! James and John were disciples of Jesus. Perhaps they thought they were better than others. They ask Jesus to sit at His right hand in Glory. Fast forward to the year 2024, we live in a time of consumerism. Our hearts beat for selfish gain. God calls us to serve, give, and love for the benefit of others. FBC Alba should be a body that serves others and the community around us. God calls us to be His hands and feet; we serve because He first served us. Today’s message is about sacrificial service.
Main Idea: Because Jesus commands us to serve others, serve others with grace.
